Captain Tarakanov's estate is the place where the Church of the Archangel Michael is located, in which many significant events took place. Here A.A. Blok's grandfather was given a funeral service, and Alexander Alexandrovich and Lyubov Dmitrievna Mendeleev were married. The church has now been restored, and in the cellar there is an exhibition dedicated to historical events in the northwestern Moscow region. In the zemstvo school building, built in 1898, the first exhibition about Alexander Blok was opened. Today the poet's museum is located here, where visitors can learn about his biography and work. The display cases show photographs, documents, rare editions, letters. The museum's other halls host thematic exhibitions, and concerts are held in the literary drawing room. Next to the church stands a monument to Alexander Blok and the Beautiful Lady.
