Museum of Forgotten Sounds
About museum
The museum is dedicated to the musical culture of the peoples of the world. The exhibition features over 150 musical instruments.
In addition, the museum has assembled a collection of legends about the creation of instruments and tales that demonstrate the role these instruments played in folk culture. This is a living museum; the exhibits are not hidden behind glass, they continue to live! They sound in the hands of the museum's keepers, and sometimes in the hands of visitors.
Alongside ancient and exotic instruments, such as the Persian santur, the Indian dilruba, and the hurdy-gurdy, the exhibition also includes original handmade instruments - for example, a whole family of flutes made from the shells of various nuts can be found here.
In addition to the guided tour program, it is possible to arrange custom workshops, performances, and concerts.
By prior arrangement, events can also be held in the evening.
