Boris Fedorovich Frantsuzov (1940–1993) was an Honored Artist of Russia who made a significant contribution to the development of print graphics in Russia during the last third of the 20th century. Contemporary art historians recognize him as a classic who helped define the stages of development of Russian visual art. In Frantsuzov's Memorial Studio everything remains as it was during the heyday of his work. The artist was not only an outstanding master but also an intellectual with wide-ranging interests. In the Memorial Studio one can sense the full breadth of Boris Frantsuzov's interests and understand his worldview. This place is open thanks to his widow, Yulia Nikolaevna Frantsuzova, who became a researcher and art historian, dedicating her life to the memory of her husband. She leads tours, speaking about Boris Frantsuzov, the time when he worked, and the nature and philosophy of his art, reflecting on love, the homeland, and life in general.
