About museum

The Museum of Time and Clocks is a cultural and educational project that presents the history of Russian and Soviet watchmaking, and also promotes and supports contemporary domestic watch art.

The museum was founded by the Time Heritage Foundation and the company AllTime. The grand opening took place in November 2022.

The core of the permanent exhibition consists of watches from the collections of Russian collectors. Among the unique exhibits are the famous watch made in 1794 by the factory of Peter Nordstein, as well as watches of the Bronnnikov dynasty, the trading houses of Pavel Bure, Henry Moser, William Gabue and other specialized companies of the late 19th – early 20th centuries. The museum widely features watches from the main specialized factories of the Soviet period. Visitors will undoubtedly be particularly interested in the legendary chronograph models, specialized watches for cosmonauts and sailors, instrument clocks, and examples of wristwatches by contemporary Russian masters.

The Museum of Time and Clocks also hosts themed presentations, lectures, meetings with experts and collectors, master classes, guided tours and temporary exhibitions.

Admission to the museum is free.
