Museum of the Vyatka Trading Peasant
About museum
In 2009 the Museum of the Vyatka Trading Peasant, or the "Gorokhov House", was opened; it is one of the main attractions of the Historical and Cultural Complex. This two-story house belonged in the 19th–20th centuries to the trading peasant Gorokhov, and here visitors can learn about the layout and furnishings of the living quarters, as well as see household items. In the yard there is a traditional smoke sauna (a "black" banya) and the Vyatka-style cucumber pit. In the shop you can buy the famous Vyatka pickled cucumbers. Thus, a visit to this museum will provide a wealth of new impressions.
