The Tazi Gizzat Museum was opened in August 2007 by a decree of the head of the Agryz Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan. The idea of creating the museum originated in 2005 with Tazi Gizzat's son, Professor, Doctor of Philosophy Kazbek Tazievich, and his wife Firdausa Giniyatovna, who provided a large number of photographs, books and personal belongings of the Tatar playwright that formed the basis of the collection.
In 2011 the museum began operating as Branch No. 1 of the Museum of History and Cultural Heritage of the Agryz Municipal District of the Republic of Tatarstan.
The exhibition tells about the life and work of Tazi Gizzat, who lived a short but very productive life. Various events related to the life and work of the playwright are held for visitors, overview and themed tours are organized, and various exhibitions are mounted.
