The Museum of Light of the international lighting corporation "Boos Lighting Group" opened in 2008, but its history began as early as 1975 with the establishment of the Museum of the History of Light in Likhoslavl, Tver Oblast. That museum houses the most interesting historical examples of lighting for domestic and industrial use. The second museum, located on Mira Avenue, showcases the latest technologies and scientific achievements in lighting engineering. Here visitors can see how the image on a painting changes with different lighting, observe plant growth in a greenhouse, play with a virtual cat, visit a modern stadium or airport, and also view what was explored in ancient times — the art of light.
