About museum

Salavat Yulaev Museum was founded on September 15, 1965, at the Alkinskaya eight-year school. The main participants in the project were T. S. Zagidullin and A. Kh. Saifullin. In 1975 the museum moved to the village of Maloyaz and received the status of the Salavat Yulaev local history museum. In 1984 the museum was awarded the title "People's", and in 1987 it joined the state network as a branch of the Bashkir State Museum. Since 1991 the museum has operated in a building designed by architect A. V. Klement and continues to present the history and culture of Bashkortostan.
