Hall of Military Glory
About museum
The idea of creating a Hall of Military Glory, dedicated to the combat feats of local residents, arose in 2010. That same year, at the initiative of municipal authorities and the public organization “Union of Afghanistan Veterans,” the school museum “Military Glory” was transferred to the local history museum. As a result, a new and interesting hall was created, which was opened on February 15, 2013, in honor of the 70th anniversary of Kuzbass and the participation of residents of Mezhdurechensk in the Great Patriotic War, the war in Afghanistan, and anti-terrorist operations in the Chechen Republic. The hall is divided into three exhibitions: the Great Patriotic War, and the local wars in Afghanistan and Chechnya. It features unique exhibits, photographs, documents, as well as audio and video equipment. The Hall of Military Glory has become a place of remembrance for heroes and of celebrating victories dedicated to the Great Patriotic War and the war in Afghanistan.
