\r\nThe Siberian Gymnastics Museum is located in the Main Post Office building, which was built in 1916 to a design by A. D. Kryachkov. Its collections include more than 7,000 items, such as trophies, medals, certificates and pieces of equipment belonging to Siberian champions like Alexander Tikhonov, Stanislav Pozdnyakov, Alexander Karelin, Yevgeny Podgorny and Viktor Markin. The museum also displays flags of historic Soviet sports societies and items from the collection of G. I. Chekis — the all-around champion of the RSFSR in gymnastics in 1950. Recently the museum received exhibits related to the 2014 Winter Olympic Games in Sochi. Visitors can learn about the history and traditions of Siberian gymnastics.
