Perm State Art Gallery is not only a major historical and art institution but also a place where various exhibitions, trainings and master classes are held. Perm State Art Gallery is the largest regional art museum in Russia, opened on November 7, 1922. It is located in the building of the former cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Saviour, an architectural monument of the 19th century. The museum houses over 53,000 works of art of various genres, schools and movements, countries and eras. The permanent exhibition features Russian art (18th - early 20th century), Western European art (15th-18th centuries), Old Russian painting (16th-17th centuries), as well as the collection of "Permian gods" (17th-19th centuries). The gallery hosts exhibitions, trainings and master classes that help to better understand art and broaden one's horizons.
