G. V. Myasnikov Museum of a Single Painting
About museum
Penza and its residents are proud of a unique museum with no analogue in the world – the Museum of a Single Painting, a branch of the Penza Regional Art Gallery, opened on February 12, 1983. The proposal to create the museum came from G. V. Myasnikov, secretary of the Penza Regional Committee of the CPSU, and its implementation was organized by honored art worker V. P. Sazonov. This museum has no counterparts in Russia or abroad and was even included in the list of six unique museums in the world mentioned in Forbes magazine. Before viewing the painting, visitors are invited to watch a video that introduces the era in which the work was created, as well as the ideas and intentions of the author. Session duration: 45 minutes.
