Ildar Gafurovich Yuzeev is a professional in the field of the arts, an Honored Figure of the Republic of Tatarstan and of the Russian Federation, a laureate of the M. Jalil Republican Prize and the G. Tukay State Prize, and also the People's Poet of the Republic of Tatarstan. In October 2008, the Museum of People's Poet Ildar Yuzeev was opened in the village of Yamady, located 45 km from the town. On the second floor of the House of Culture a room of 42 sq. m. was allocated, which contains two sections: the life and work of the poet, and the poet's room. The museum's collections include photographs and film materials, newspaper materials, books, manuscripts, documents, personal belongings and ethnographic items.
