Moscow Streltsy Museum 'Streletskie Chambers'
About museum
In 2014 the military history museum 'Streletskie Palaty' of the Russian Military-Historical Society was opened. It is an interactive venue for people interested in military history. The museum's halls are located in a 17th-century architectural monument known as the 'Titov Chambers'. These chambers were the property of duma clerk Semyon Titov, a close associate of Tsar Aleksey Mikhailovich Romanov. The museum offers guided tours, master classes, themed interactive programs for children, and also participates in the Pushkin Card and Moskvyonok programs. To this day the building has retained its historic appearance, allowing visitors to step into pre-Petrine Moscow.
The Moscow Streltsy Museum is a colorful journey through the pages of our country's military history. Thanks to the permanent exhibitions 'Moscow Streltsy' and 'Serving People of the Moscow State' we tell the story of the Streltsy troops and showcase the traditions and daily life of old Moscow. The 'Streletskie Palaty' Museum is a place where everyone can feel like a real streltsy, loading a musket, learning to play the drum, or practicing writing according to Old Russian canons.
