Museum of the History of Samara State Medical University
About museum
The Museum of the History of SamGMU was established by Professor S. I. Stegunitsyn, associate professors A. G. Saprykina and G. A. Adyshilin-Zade and opened on May 25, 1974. In 2001 the exhibition was renovated. The museum's panels present the history of the university and its current structure, and in the glass cabinets and showcases authentic belongings of Academician I. B. Soldatov, Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Medical Sciences T. I. Eroshevsky, recipient of the "Golden Oscar" G. L. Ratner, SamGMU's honorary rector A. F. Krasnov, as well as photographs and textbooks and monographs published by the university's scholars. A visit to the museum allows one to experience the history of SamGMU and learn about its achievements.
