Vnukovo District History Museum
About museum
Located inside the Vnukovo Cultural Center, the Vnukovo District History Museum is the youngest museum in Moscow, opened in 2018. It contains materials collected by the People's Museum of Military and Labor Glory of Vnukovo Airport, as well as items created by war veterans. The museum invites adults and children to learn about this unusual district of Moscow, which emerged in the late 1930s around Vnukovo Airport, and about the history of civil aviation in the USSR and its development from wooden aeroplanes to jet airliners. All history lovers are invited to visit the museum and see for themselves that the 20th century truly was the century of aviation!
