Museum of the History of the Town of Mikun
About museum
Concerts, literary and musical evenings, guided tours and master classes are held at the museum.
The North-Pechora Railway Museum presents the history of its construction in the 1930s, as well as the Mikun station, which became a town in 1959. The museum halls display photographs, letters, personal belongings of the railway builders, scale models and locomotive parts. The history of the work of many enterprises, traffic services, track maintenance, communications and others — without which the railway cannot be imagined — is also reflected. The museum's collections contain materials about repressed workers and conductor Dmitry Karayanidi. In addition, an interior of a 1950s living room is exhibited, and concerts, literary and musical evenings, guided tours and master classes are also held.
