About museum
Visitors can view rare coin specimens, ranging from the earliest Aeginetan coins of the 7th century BC to the yefimka of Alexei Mikhailovich, the srebrenniks of Vladimir I, rubles by medallists Alekseev, Haupt, Guen, Dassyé and Hedlinger, gold and platinum coins, copper coins from Catherine II's failed 1796 reform, as well as a complete set of commemorative imperial coins, including the "family" one-and-a-half-ruble piece, and coins struck for Prussia, Livonia, Poland, Georgia, Finland, Moldavia and Wallachia.
