In 1991, Anvar Akramovich Kazakov, a World War II veteran and an honorary member of the All-Russian Society of the Blind (VOS), founded the Bashkir Republican Organization of the All-Russian Society of the Blind and opened a history museum within it. It offers visitors a fairly large area for family recreation and presents interesting exhibitions suitable for educating and engaging both children and adults.
