The museum's main goal is to provide visitors with the opportunity to study the history and culture of Amur Oblast. The museum hosts various exhibitions, programs, and events dedicated to the history and culture of Amur Oblast. \r\nThe primary document establishing the museum is the Decision of the Executive Committee of the Amur Regional Council of Working People's Deputies dated 12.07.1976 No. 264. In 2001, the museum was provided with a two-story permanent building with an area of 800 sq. m. and storage premises for collections with an area of 230 sq. m. The museum's collections currently hold more than 43,000 storage items, including the main collection — 25,000 items, and the scientific-auxiliary collection — 18,000 items. The museum's objective is to provide visitors with the opportunity to study the history and culture of Amur Oblast. The museum holds various exhibitions, programs, and events dedicated to the history and culture of the region, helping visitors gain a deeper understanding of these subjects.
