Galimjan Ibragimov Museum
About museum
The Galimjan Ibragimov Museum was opened in 1967 in the writer's hometown on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of his birth. A house-museum was opened in honor of his 100th anniversary. The museum was organized by Tatar language and literature teacher Naziba Khabibullovna Khairullina and school artist Galimjan Sabiryanovich Galiaskarov. The museum's collection included the writer's manuscripts, photographs and personal belongings. In 1987 a building for the museum was constructed in the center of the village, and in 1997 a permanent premises was established. In honor of Galimjan Ibragimov's 100th anniversary a bust of the writer created by Zulfat Basyrov was installed. The museum exhibits numismatic items, paintings, hand-woven carpets, embroidery and other objects that allow visitors to learn about Galimjan Ibragimov's life.
