Museum "Gubernsky City Kostroma"
About museum
On March 28, 2014, we proudly and warmly celebrated the opening of our Museum "Gubernsky City Kostroma", which was founded in honor of the anniversary of "Kostroma Antiquity." During the event we presented our plans and prospects for the future, and also welcomed guests who showed interest in the new museum. Alongside well-known figures in the fields of history, culture and art in Kostroma, there were also guests from Moscow. They expressed hope that young people would actively participate in our common cause, and wished for the museum to become a center for uniting Kostroma local historians. In the summer of 2013, KOOCO "Kostromskaya Starina" received free premises of about 300 square meters for exhibition activities. The two-story building contains four halls. On the second floor there is a temporary exhibition of works by enamel jeweler Nikolai Suslov and a permanent exhibition about the Trading Rows and life in Kostroma from the late 18th century to the early 20th century.
