About museum
On the occasion of the 120th anniversary of the birth of Platon Alekseevich Sleptsov (Oyunsky), an outstanding statesman and public figure of Yakutia, writer, scholar and thinker, by order of the President of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) E. A. Borisov dated November 18, 2011 No. 843-RP, on December 25, 2012 the P. A. Oyunsky Museum of Statehood of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), a branch of the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) "Yakut State United Museum of History and Culture of the Peoples of the North named after Em. Yaroslavsky", was opened. The museum's exhibition includes sections on notable people of the Tattinsky Ulus, Taatta — the homeland of P. A. Oyunsky, the Oyunsky family tree, the origins of statehood in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia), and P. A. Oyunsky's role in state activities, as a writer and scholar. For the purposes of patriotic education, the museum compiles museum, archival and library collections and provides guided tours, tourist services, lectures and consultations to visitors as part of its educational, cultural and outreach activities.
