Museum of Geology, Oil and Gas
About museum
The Museum of Geology, Oil and Gas is the only state museum in the Russian Federation dedicated to the oil and gas industry. It was opened in 2003 and, over 11 years, the museum's collection has grown to include more than 34,000 items. It displays objects related to geology, the history of geological exploration, and the development of the oil and gas industry in Western Siberia. To ensure open access for visitors, the museum is equipped with modern technical equipment. It is also a member of the Scientific and Methodological Council on museum development issues in Ugra and serves as a scientific and methodological center for scientific-technical and local history museums.

Memorial items of prominent figures of the oil and gas industry (V.I. Muravlenko, F.K. Salmanova, R.G. Ervie, others), as well as personal archives of geologists and oil workers who made a personal contribution to organizing geological surveys of Western Siberia and the development of the oil and gas complex — 2,080 items.
