Gabdulla Tukay (1886–1913) is a great Tatar poet whose influence on literature is still felt today. The Tukay Museum was opened in the 1960s and initially operated on a public basis at the G. Tukay secondary school. In 1976 the museum received state status, and in 1979 a purpose-built building was erected based on a design by an Honored Artist of Russia. The museum building is located in a park area of about 3 hectares on the bank of the Iya River. Exhibits are displayed in 6 halls and on the grounds of the peasant Sagdi's estate. The museum has a separate hall dedicated to the history of the village and the poet's contemporaries from the area. The core of the exhibition consists of archival materials that tell about Gabdulla Tukay's life and work. The museum is a monument to the great poet, allowing visitors to learn about his life and work.
