About museum

On September 27, 1983, a branch of the Temryuk Historical and Archaeological Museum — the Open-Air Military Equipment Museum "Voennaya Gorka" — was opened in Temryuk. The main idea for creating the museum was proposed by the chairman of the Temryuk district executive committee and supported by the first secretary of the District Committee of the CPSU. On Miska Hill there are about 100 exhibits that represent various types of military equipment and reflect both past and present. The exhibition allows visitors to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the Great Patriotic War and to mark memorable dates in history. The museum is one of the largest of its kind in Russia.
