Museum of World Languages
About museum
In June 2019 the Museum of World Languages was established as the result of many years of research into linguistic diversity and linguistics. Here you can see representations of more than 7,000 languages from all language families and corners of the globe, as well as examples of ancient and modern scripts on stone, birch bark, clay, wood, paper and palm leaves. The exhibition presents information about the quipu — the knot-based writing system of the ancient Incas — you can leaf through the Voynich manuscript, view the Rosetta Stone and gain a wealth of fascinating insights into languages and human thought. The entire exhibition was developed in line with the latest trends in museum practice.
