About museum
In 2011 an art museum was established at the initiative of Vitaly Vavilin. Its collection features works by Russian artists working in a realistic style from the post‑war period to the present day. Today the museum holds about 2,000 works. Since 2012 the museum has organized exhibitions, run competitions for artists, published books on art, and provided master classes for children and adults. In February 2019 the museum moved to a new building with an exhibition area of 1,200 square meters.
