Muslyumovsky Local History Museum
About museum
In 1989 the Muslyumovsky District Council of People's Deputies decided to establish a local history museum. The authors of the first exhibitions were Muzagit Akhmetzyanov, Nais Gambarov and Raykhan Khantimerov (1965–1966). Over the following years the exhibitions continued to develop under the leadership of Nurdida Galievna and Midhat Fathullin. In 2009 the museum was moved to the former building of the music school, and on September 4, 2014, after reconstruction, it was opened to visitors. Today the museum occupies 478.2 sq. m and presents four permanent exhibitions: "Ethnography", "Nature and Archaeology", "The Soviet Period", "Contemporary Muslyumovo". There is also an exhibition hall where one can view solo exhibitions of fine art. The main collection of the museum comprises 5,131 items, and the scientific-auxiliary collection — 4,685. Here visitors can learn a lot about the region's distinctive history, famous people, national features and traditions, and the experienced museum staff will help reveal them to guests.
