In Matveyevo, the "District Local History Museum" was established to preserve and expand materials and documents on military-patriotic subjects and the district's historical and cultural heritage. The museum opened on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War. It displays exhibits from the Museum of Military Glory and other materials. Visitors can learn about significant events in the district, region, and country, as well as the lives of notable local residents. The museum hosts exhibitions from its own collections and from the collections of other regional museums, as well as from private collections. The "District Local History Museum" is a true pride of Matveyevo.
