Municipal budgetary cultural institution 'A.G. Malyshkin Museum'
About museum
On March 21, 1977 the Literary and Memorial Museum of the writer A. G. Malyshkin was opened. The first exhibition presents the history of the Mokshan area as well as the architectural ensemble of the uezd (county) town. The 19th-century section takes visitors into the world of Russian everyday life and the Malyshkin family bakery. Also located here is the exhibition 'Fair in the Uezd Town'. In the girls' room are the letters of sisters Anna and Klavdiya, and in Sasha's room visitors can get better acquainted with Alexander, a gymnasium pupil. The Malyshkin family parlor contains a Viennese furniture set, a striking clock, table service items and a samovar. The parents' bedroom displays household items. In the Literary Hall the study of Alexander Georgievich in Moscow has been recreated.
