About museum
In October 1967 the Museum of Military Glory was opened in the town of Millerovo; by decree No. 476 of 1993 it became a local history museum. The exhibition, displayed in five halls, presents the history of the Millerovo district. It features photographs, documents, written sources, as well as artifacts reflecting the Komsomol movement of the 1930s, the grain requisitioning of the 1920s (prodrazvyorstka), military equipment, photographs and personal belongings of participants of the Civil War and the Great Patriotic War (World War II), and their awards. The museum also has an exhibition hall where an average of 15 exhibitions are held each year. The museum's collection includes more than 5,000 items, including space-related objects, items of the Miller family, tableware, books, photographs, clothing items, and the book "Miller Genealogy" with a dedicatory inscription from the great-great-granddaughter of the town's founder.
