About museum
On April 26, 1986, the Memorial House-Museum of the writer V. A. Zakrutkin was opened in the stanitsa Kochetovskaya. Visiting it, one can see what was present during the author's lifetime: a cozy wooden building surrounded by a fruit garden, trees and shrubs planted by Vitaly Alexandrovich. In the writer's study stands an antique desk, a desk lamp, an elegant inkwell set and various souvenirs. On the shelves there are more than two thousand books. In the lounge, Cossack sabers, shashkas, a bandolier, a worn Cossack campaign bag "sakva", a burka, a bekesha, binoculars and a dirk hang on the walls. In the literary parlor one can hear classical music, the writer's favorite poems and songs, as well as fragments from his works. The museum's collection contains more than six thousand exhibits.
