Thus, the museum has become a space where visitors can learn about the history and culture of the Volokonovsky District. The museum is located in the building of Volokonovskaya School No. 2 named after G. B. Lobanov, the construction of which began 100 years ago. Over this time the building has gone through many historical events and has remained almost original, except for the windows and the roof, which have been replaced with modern ones. The school still retains ceiling stucco, tiles, forged stair railings, and its facade has been repainted. The building was recognized as an object of cultural heritage by the Belgorod Regional Council of People's Deputies and has become a place for researching the history and culture of the Volokonovsky District. Various research works are carried out in the museum; exhibits and information about the history of the Volokonovsky region are collected. The museum is also an important institution for the upbringing and education of the younger generation.
