About museum
The regional state budgetary cultural institution "Kostroma State Historical-Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve" incorporated into its structure a branch — the Memorial Museum of General of the Army M. S. Malinin. It is located in the Antropovsky District of the Kostroma Region; the museum opened on May 9, 1990. On its grounds is the house in which the Malinin family lived until 1959, relocated from the village of Polutino in the Antropovsky District. Two exhibitions are presented here: "He Served His Motherland Faithfully", dedicated to the military and life path of General of the Army M. S. Malinin, and "In the House of the Malinin Family", introducing the genealogy, traditions and customs of the Kostroma region in the early 20th century. For active work with veterans and participation in the patriotic education of citizens, the museum was awarded the commemorative medal "65 Years of Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941–1945" and an Honorary Diploma of the Fund of the Commanders of Victory. In 2015 it became a laureate of the All-Russian Historical and Literary Prize "Alexander Nevsky".
