The Historical and Literary Exhibition «M. A. Sholokhov. Time and Fate» is located in a two-story building constructed in 1913. The same building housed the gymnasium where M. A. Sholokhov studied from autumn 1918 to spring 1919. The exhibition presents materials that tell about different periods of the writer's life as well as the fate of his works. Here you can learn about his family roots, childhood and youth, the beginning of his creative path, and the history, traditions, and culture of the Don Cossacks. In addition, visitors can view works by M. A. Sholokhov published in various countries and use a multimedia complex that contains a large database on topics related to the life and work of the writer. It is an excellent opportunity to learn more about M. A. Sholokhov and his native Don region.
