Lukoyanov District Local History Museum
About museum
In 1911 a wooden building was constructed that belonged to the Lavrov-Blochin family. For many years it housed various organizations, but the building itself remained unchanged. On October 29, 1958, the building was converted into a museum at the initiative of M. N. Butusov and the Komsomol Pedagogical School. In 1961 it was granted the status of a people's museum. The museum contains more than five thousand exhibits and features five displays: the nature hall, a peasant household room, the hall of military glory, the hall of distinguished people, and the history of settlement of the local area. In the exhibition hall you can see paintings and photographs on various themes, as well as household items from the Soviet period. The uniqueness of the museum attracts many visitors.
