Rasul Gamzatov Literary Museum

The Rasul Gamzatov Museum is an honorary place dedicated to the world-famous writer and national poet of Dagestan. It is located in the Union of Writers of Dagestan, which was built before the Revolution. More than 300 unique photographs of the poet are collected here, showing his life from youth to the time he gained worldwide recognition. In addition, the display cases are devoted to the poet's awards and honorary titles, as well as personal items and photographs of the founders of modern Dagestani literature. The museum's collections contain more than 2,130 items that allow the study of the history of the Union of Writers of Dagestan and the long path it has taken over 85 years. This museum is a branch of the A. Taho-Godi National Museum of Dagestan. Visitors can feel the spirit of the poet and his era.
