Kuzbass Museum-Reserve 'Tomskaya Pisanitsa'
About museum
In a picturesque corner of the Siberian forest in the south of Western Siberia stands the museum of nature and human history 'Tomskaya Pisanitsa'. Over the past 30 years it has developed into a modern multidisciplinary cultural complex that combines museum functions, scientific and cultural-educational activities, and is the pride of Kuzbass. The core of the museum is the ancient sanctuary 'Tomskaya Pisanitsa', which contains more than 280 drawings dated to the end of the Neolithic (3rd–4th millennium BCE). The museum features integrated open-air exhibition areas where visitors can learn about the ancient customs and traditions of the peoples of Siberia and the history and culture of Kuzbass. The site hosts workshops, lectures, exhibitions, concerts, and festivals. 'Tomskaya Pisanitsa' is a true 21st-century museum, a unique complex of the history and culture of the peoples of Eurasia.
