Karaidel District Historical and Local Lore Museum
About museum
The Karaidel District Historical and Local Lore Museum is located in the former volost center of the village of Bayki, in one of the merchant brick houses built in 1897. From 2002 to 2004 the building underwent renovation, and the museum was opened on November 21, 2004. In the forestry department visitors can learn about the activities of forestry enterprises and also see samples of trees, animals, birds and fish. In the "Everyday Life and Culture of the Bashkir People" department you can view wooden and handicraft items, kitchenware, samovars, footwear and other antiques. The military-patriotic education department is the largest and contains display cases with combat orders and medals, as well as a large collection of old coins, weapons and household items.
