About museum

The art gallery of the Kamyshin Historical and Local Lore Museum opened on May 23, 2003. Its collection includes more than 2,000 items of fine and decorative-applied art, including works by artists of the Soviet Union from the second half of the 20th century. The main part of the collection is composed of works dedicated to the history of Kamyshin, as well as works by contemporary artists from the city and Volgograd. The gallery hosts numerous events, competitions, master classes and holiday programs for people of all ages. Themed creative days and the annual children's art festival "Born from Childhood" are especially popular. The exhibition is regularly updated, so the gallery continually attracts new visitors.
