The museum's purpose is to provide the population of the Tyukalinsk district with an accessible and educational space allowing them to study the region's proud history.\n\nThe Tyukalinsk District Historical and Local History Museum was founded in 1985 and has since become a keeper of the region's proud history. It presents the nature and history of the Tyukalinsk stanitsa since 1759, political exiles, peasant life, and trade. The museum includes dioramas depicting the Battle of Moscow, as well as other narrative compositions. It is part of the state network and is constantly developing. In 2017 a branch, "Military Pages of Tyukalinsk History", was opened, presenting the military period of 1812–1914. The museum's main goal is to give the district's population the opportunity to study Tyukalinsk's history and appreciate its proud heritage.
