House of the Hieromartyr Seraphim (Zvezdinsky)
About museum
The house of Hieromartyr Seraphim Zvezdinsky is located on the grounds of the former Podlipichye estate, which from the end of the 19th century belonged to Ivan Artemyevich Lyamin — a well-known figure in the capital, an improver and decorator of many churches. For three years the Bishop of Dmitrov, Hieromartyr Seraphim Zvezdinsky, an outstanding ascetic of the Russian Orthodox Church of the 20th century, lived here. Here he prayed, established a home chapel in memory of Venerable Seraphim of Sarov, comforted elders and educated adolescents. The house is situated next to the Church of the Kazan Icon of the Mother of God and the "Dmitrov" gymnasium. It houses the exhibition "You are all in my heart", dedicated to the life and deeds of Seraphim Zvezdinsky and the New Martyrs of Dmitrov, which features photographs, documents and excerpts from works.
