Kotelnikovo Local History Museum
About museum
\r\nIn 1961 the Kotelnikovo Local History Museum was established. It became the district museum after the number and scope of collected exhibits and documents exceeded the capacity of the locomotive depot. In 2008 the museum opened to visitors in a new building and continues to operate to this day. It is a true treasury of the district's historical heritage, housing about 8,000 items. The exhibitions include the Hall of Military Glory, the Hall of District History and Contemporary Life, the Hall of Cossack Everyday Life, the Hall of the Native Land's Nature, and a conference hall. It hosts rotating thematic exhibitions from its own and external collections, as well as events and excursions that attract a wide variety of visitors.
