State Museum of K. A. Fedin
About museum
In 1981, the State Museum of Konstantin Aleksandrovich Fedin was opened in Saratov as a tribute to the outstanding writer. This location was particularly suitable for establishing the museum, as Fedin spent his childhood and youth here. The museum building dates back to the 18th century and is one of the oldest in the city. The basis for the museum was the writer's archive, donated by his daughter. Today the museum has more than 80,000 exhibits, including manuscripts, letters, books, magazines, photographs, and works of fine art. New exhibits are donated to the museum free of charge by writers, artists, and collectors. The State Museum of K. A. Fedin is a leading scientific and cultural center of Russia.
