Golubkovsky Historical and Ethnographic Museum
About museum
The founder of the museum in the village of Golubkovskoye is the local school's history teacher, Lidiya Grigoryevna Inisheva. The museum opened on December 27, 1986. The exhibitions were housed in the building of the old village council, which had only three rooms. Initially the museum had the status of a school museum, and in 1992 it became municipal. In 2006 it was located in the building of the local kindergarten. Today seven exhibitions are presented here. The halls display the village's history, the everyday life of a peasant family, and the history of crafts and weaving. The wedding chamber, which attracts visitors with its exhibits — wedding dresses of local girls collected from the early 20th century — is particularly noteworthy. During tours, visitors are also offered the chance to try weaving themselves; a working loom from 1960 is on display.
