Dalnekonstantinovsky Local History Museum
About museum
The Dalnekonstantinovsky Local History Museum has existed since 1978 and is located in an old wooden building. Mikhail Ivanovich Kuzmichev (1902–1985) made a tremendous contribution to the establishment of the museum and to its collecting and research work. The museum's exhibition includes a historical hall, "Orthodox Churches of the Dalnekonstantinovsky District", a memorial hall dedicated to Dalnekonstantinovo soldiers, and an art and ethnographic hall. The museum presents informational materials on history, ethnography, archaeology, and toponymy, and provides qualified assistance to all who request it. The museum regularly organizes thematic exhibitions at international, oblast, and district events. Various formats are used in the museum's work: seminars, conferences, museum lessons, meetings with veterans, talks and lectures, television and radio interviews, newspaper publications, and book publishing. The museum's collection is used for research, local history gatherings, and archaeological excursions.
