About museum
Bakchar Local History Museum of Northern Horticulture is located in the village of Bakchar in the Bakchar District of Tomsk Oblast. It was founded in the summer of 1995 on the grounds of a former orchard. The orchard was created by V. I. Gvozdev, who was arrested by the Soviet authorities in 1933 and sent with his family to Selivanovka. The museum features the exhibitions: "Peasant Life", "Northern Garden", "Kalashnikov — the Best Gunsmith on the Planet". Here you can see many materials from the historical past of the district. By becoming acquainted with them, the younger generation develops love and pride for their small homeland. This helps to understand the history and culture of the local people.
