About museum
Bakcharsky Local History Museum of Northern Horticulture is located in the village of Bakchar in the Bakchar District of Tomsk Oblast. It was founded in the summer of 1995 on the grounds of a former garden. The garden's creator was V. I. Gvozdev, who was arrested by the Soviet authorities in 1933 and sent with his family to Selivanovka. The museum features exhibitions: "Peasant Life", "Northern Garden", "Kalashnikov — the Best Gunsmith on the Planet". Here you can see many materials from the historical past of the district. By becoming acquainted with them, the younger generation is filled with love and pride for their small homeland. This helps to understand the history and culture of the local people.
