About museum
The museum of the town of Babaevo features six exhibition halls dedicated to the history of the town's origin and development. They display exhibits such as boxes and vases made from pine root, the outfit of a Veps bride, the oak table of merchant Gankovsky, the buffet of locomotive driver Bandinovich, a "Fotokor" camera, German shoes produced in 1944, and a wartime gramophone. In addition, the museum hosts exhibitions of works by local painters and photographers, ethnographic items, works by contemporary masters in embroidery and lace-making, produce from household plots and products made from it.
