Art Combine. Exhibition Hall of the Moscow Union of Artists (MOSKh)
About museum
In 1975 the former boiler house, built in 1957, was handed over to the Union of Artists of Russia to create the Republican Combine of Monumental and Decorative Arts (RKMDI) and became the Creative Workshops of the Moscow Union of Artists (MOSKh) in Perovo. Between 1975 and 1992 numerous monumental, sculptural, and interior works were produced for many cities in Russia and abroad, including pieces for the 1980 Olympic Games and for stations of the Moscow Metro. Renowned artists such as I. L. Lubennikov, S. V. Goryaev, B. A. Uspensky, and V. Kh. Dumanyan also worked here. Between 2000 and 2013 mosaics and reliefs were created for many Moscow Metro stations. Today the Creative Workshops of the Moscow Union of Artists (MOSKh) not only produce works but also host exhibitions of contemporary Moscow artists.
